[1][1] A poet from the early Heian period. One of the Six Immortal Poets. Kisen Hoshi. Also known as Daigo Hoshi. A native of Yamashiro Province, he is said to have become a monk, hid himself in Mt. Daigo, then Mt. Uji, and disappeared on a cloud. He is also said to have written the book on waka poetry, "Kisenshiki." Years of birth and death unknown. [2] Kabuki shosakugoto. Kiyomoto, Nagauta. Lyrics by Matsumoto Koji. Kiyomoto composed by Kiyomoto Saibei, Nagauta composed by Kineya Rokuzaemon X. One of the five-form dances, "Rokukasen Sugata no Irodori. " First performed at the Edo Nakamuraza Theater in 1831 ( Tenpo 2 ). Kisen, dressed as a shosha, performs kudoki and Sumiyoshi dances on a lower-class maid ( later known as a tea-making girl). [1][一] 平安初期の歌人。六歌仙の一人。喜撰法師。別名醍醐法師。山城国の人で、出家したあと、醍醐山、のち宇治山に隠れて仙人となり、雲に乗って姿を消したと伝えられる。歌学書「喜撰式」の著者ともいう。生没年未詳。[二] 歌舞伎所作事。清元、長唄。松本幸二作詞。清元は清元斎兵衛、長唄は十世杵屋六左衛門作曲。五変化舞踊「六歌仙容彩(ろっかせんすがたのいろどり)」の一つ。天保二年(一八三一)江戸中村座初演。所化姿の喜撰がお端下(はした)女中(のち茶汲み女)を相手のクドキや住吉踊りを見せる。[2] 〘名〙 茶の銘柄の一つ。また、転じて茶そのものもいう。※洒落本・讚極史(1789‐1801)「折鷹雁金もよいが喜撰にゃ及ばねへ」
