Stem tea - Kukicha
<br /> A type of green tea. The stems and petioles are separated from the tea leaves during the manufacturing process of gyokuro and sencha. It has a mellow taste with little astringency and a rich umami flavor. ◇It is also called "bocha". Furthermore, high-quality tea, especially gyokuro tea, is sometimes called " karigane ."
