Nasuno - Eggplant
The title of a Japanese musical piece. It is also written as "Nasuno." It is based on the legend of Tamamo-no-Mae, which is famous in the Noh piece "Satsushoseki." (1) The title of a Yamada-ryu koto piece. It is one of the seven middle pieces composed by Yamada Kengyo, the founder of the Yamada school. It was composed in response to Onoe Matsusuke's "Sangoku Yofuden" (The Legend of the Three Kingdom Demon Women), which was performed at the Edo Ichimura Theater in Bunka 4 (1807) (first performed around the end of the Kansei era). It is performed in the Kumoi style and San-shitari style. Onoe Kikugoro VI and others have also made it into a dance. (2) The title of a Tomimoto-bushi piece. It is an addition and addition to (1). The original title is "Satsushoseki Jusan Kai." It was composed by Misaki Hachigoro (Tokuji 5) in Keio 3 (1867). (3) The title of a Itchu-bushi piece. It has the same theme as (2). Composed by Uji Shibun 1st. (4) The title of a Nagauta piece. It is an alternative name for the lower volume of "Sangoku Yoko Monogatari." Composed by Kineya Rokushiro 1st. It was passed down by Rokushiro III (Jokan) and performed at the Kenseikai by Yoshizumi Kosaburo and others.

日本音楽の曲名。「奈須野」とも書く。謡曲『殺生石』などで有名な玉藻の前伝説による。 (1) 山田流箏曲の曲名 流祖山田検校作曲の中許7曲の一つ。文化4 (1807) 年江戸市村座上演の尾上松助『三国妖婦伝』 (初演は寛政末年頃) に呼応して作られた。雲井調子・三下りで通される。6世尾上菊五郎らが舞踊化したこともある。 (2) 富本節の曲名 (1) の取捨増補。本名題『殺生石十三怪』。慶応3 (1867) 年名見崎八五郎 (5世徳治) 作曲。 (3) 一中節の曲名 (2) と同趣。1世宇治紫文作曲。 (4) 長唄の曲名 『三国妖狐物語』下の巻の別名。1世杵屋六四郎作曲。3世六四郎 (浄観) が伝え,吉住小三郎らにより,研精会で上演。
