No fishing zone - Goldfish

Japanese: 禁漁区 - きんぎょく

Areas where fishing is prohibited. No-fishing areas, such as parks, ponds in public facilities, and other areas, are set out in laws, ordinances, etc., and are intended to protect and cultivate fishery resources. They are characterized by the fact that fishing is only allowed for a limited period of time. The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries may also designate water areas suitable for spawning and the growth of young fish. There are also restrictions on certain fishing gear and fishing methods, such as trout fishing in European and American rivers (only lure fishing is permitted).

漁労を禁じられている区域。公園，公共施設の池などをはじめ，法令，条例などに定められた禁漁区は，水産資源の保護培養のためのもので，期間を限って解禁することが特色。産卵，稚魚の成育などに適した水面を農林水産大臣などが指定する場合もある。また，特定の漁具や漁法の制限もあり，欧米の河川のます釣り (擬餌針釣りのみ許可) などはその例である。
