Kishi Memorial Gymnasium

Japanese: 岸記念体育会館 - きしきねんたいいくかいかん
Kishi Memorial Gymnasium
This building is owned by the Japan Amateur Sports Association. In accordance with the will of the second head of the association, Kiyoshi Kishi, his family donated 800,000 yen in 1934 to build a sports hall, and it was completed in 1941 in Ochanomizu, Tokyo. As the two-story wooden building was too small, it was moved to Shibuya, Tokyo in 1964 and became a building with five floors above ground and three below. In addition to the association's secretariat, many other central sports organizations and sports-related organizations have their offices here, and it is known as the "headquarters of amateur sports." The auditorium on the third basement floor also serves as a gymnasium for indoor sports.
