A deciduous tree of the Rosaceae family (APG classification: Rosaceae). A variety of Mamezakura found in the Chubu region and west of Honshu, Kinki, and Chugoku regions. It grows to a height of 3-5 meters. The leaves are obovate or broadly obovate, 4-8 cm long, and larger than Mamezakura. The flowers are white or pale pink, and the calyx tube is slender and 8-9 mm long.
