Kinki Region Development Law - Kinki Kensei Biho

Japanese: 近畿圏整備法 - きんきけんせいびほう

The law enacted in 1963 aims to promote the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive plan for the Kinki region (Fukui Prefecture and the other two prefectures and five prefectures in the Kinki region) to construct and develop the region as a suitable center of the Japanese economy and culture, on a par with the Tokyo metropolitan area. The Special Committee for the Development of the Kinki Region was established as a special administrative agency under the National Land Agency's National Land Council.
