〘名〙 書画、古道具、刀剣などを鑑定して、それが確かなものであることを証明したもの。短冊(たんざく)形の小札に書きしるすのが普通であった。「極札がつく」などの形で、そのものが確かでまちがいのないものであることをいうのにも用いられる。鑑定書。折紙。極書き。※湯武論(1718)「『殷有二三仁一焉』と孔子のきはめ札を出して置れたれば」[補注]その形式は様々で、題名と筆者と鑑定者の署名および印章を記した小紙片を巻軸に貼付したもの、巻軸に貼らずに別に保存したもの(外題、極札)、外題より複雑な本文を書いて二つ折りにしたもの(折紙、添状)、作品の画面や巻末に書き込んだもの(紙中極、奥書)、箱の表裏に書き込んだもの(箱書付、箱書)などがある。
