Climate index - climatic index

Climate index - climatic index
An index that expresses climatic characteristics as a multivariate function of several climatic elements. If we think of climate as being composed of climatic elements such as solar radiation, temperature, humidity, precipitation, evapotranspiration, wind direction, and wind speed, we can express the climate by combining these climatic values. One way of combining these elements is to express the climate as a function of several climatic elements, and the rainfall factor devised by soil scientist R. Lang was the first to do so.
[Rain factor]
It is also called Lang's rainfall factor.
