〘Noun〙① = Kyuzaburo (Kyuzaburo) ※Ukiyo-zoshi, Wankyu II (1691), Vol. 1 "The chef Kyusuke has prepared a stand for now."② Abbreviation of "Kyusuke Kuzu (Kyusuke Kuzu)." ※Ryori Hayashinan (1801-04), Vol. 4 "Kuzu mochi: Knead Kyusuke in sugar until it becomes firm, place white soybean flour in a wooden bowl, pour it on top, and knead while sprinkling the soybean flour on top, allowing people to eat as much as they like."③ In the Edo period, in Shin Yoshiwara, it was a slang term for a brazen or foolish person. 〘名〙① ＝きゅうざぶろう（久三郎）※浮世草子・椀久二世（1691）上「料理人の久助迄当座島台拵へて」② 「きゅうすけくず（久助葛）」の略。※料理早指南（1801‐04）四「葛餠久助をさとうのゆにてかたくねり、白きなこを木鉢へ敷、其上へ打あけ、きなこかけながらこねれば自由につまみきらるる物也」③ 江戸時代、新吉原で、あつかましい者、愚かな者をいう隠語。きゅう。※洒落本・青楼小鍋立（1802）成三草庵酒盛「酌子屋ではばかといふことを久助といふ」
