This garden is located in Koto Ward, Tokyo. It was built by Iwasaki Yataro, a Meiji era businessman, who purchased a suburban residence from the Edo era. It was completed in 1880, but construction continued after that, including the installation of a fountain. It was donated to the city of Tokyo in 1924, and opened in 1932. 東京都江東区にある庭園。明治時代の実業家、岩崎弥太郎が江戸時代の下屋敷を買い取って造営した。明治13年(1880)にいったん竣工したが、その後も造園工事が進められ、泉水などが設けられた。大正13年(1924)東京市に寄付され、昭和7年(1932)に開園。
