Kyoto sandals - Kyozori
〘Noun〙 (Originally made in Kyoto) Women's sandals made of light bamboo bark and trimmed with velvet. They were popular around the Genroku period ( 1688-1704 ). ※Ukiyo-zoshi, Zoku -tsurezure (1695), 2 "A mix of light yellow -threaded Kyoto sandals and bamboo-threaded men's sandals."
