… Village groups are generally called groups, but at the same time, there are various names for village groups distributed throughout the country. The main ones are yashiki (house) in the Tohoku region, tsubo (tsubo) in northern Kanto, niwa (garden), niwaba (garden area), and sato (village) in southern Kanto, kouchi (farmed land) in the Chubu region, kaito (kakiuchi, kakigai, kaito, etc.) widely distributed mainly in the Kinki region, doi (earthen) and houji (houji) in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions, koga (vacant space) in Kitakyushu, kado (gate) in Minamikyushu, bari in the northern part of Okinawa Island, and dakari in the southern part of the same island.
