A lawsuit is one in which the plaintiff asserts the existence of a specific right to a performance claim against the defendant. The content of the performance includes not only the payment of money or the delivery of goods, but also acts and omissions, regardless of whether they are based on a credit or a real right. Suits for performance are divided into two types: suits for present performance, which assert the existence of a right to a performance claim, and suits for future performance, which assert a right to a performance claim in the future.
