Ephyra larvae

...Many constrictions form on the side of the polyp's body, forming a strobila that resembles stacked plates. As the tentacles degenerate and are absorbed, the strobila separate one by one from the tip of the constriction, becoming ephyra larvae that swim into the water. The ephyra develop tentacles and various organs and grow into the sexual stage of jellyfish.
