Yellow crucian carp

A regional brand of the Kanto region, Tochigi Prefecture. It is made in Utsunomiya City. During the Edo period, when an epidemic broke out, people caught yellow crucian carp in the river and ate them, and the illness was cured immediately. This is why the yellow crucian carp is said to be a lucky local toy. A traditional craft of Tochigi Prefecture.
