Japanese: 技術導入 - ぎじゅつどうにゅう（英語表記）technical induction

A form of capital import, importing advanced technological patents, know-how, etc. from other countries. One of the characteristics of the Japanese economy after World War II was the inflow of foreign capital, especially technology, which was very active. For example, in the 15 years from 1955 to 1969, there were 12,272 cases of technology introduction, totaling $2.1 billion. Contracts are regulated by the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (Foreign Exchange Act) (→ Technology introduction contracts). In recent years, as Japan has become a technological powerhouse, Japanese companies are increasingly providing technology to foreign companies.

資本輸入の一形態で，諸外国の進んだ技術の特許，ノーハウなどを輸入すること。第2次世界大戦後の日本経済の特徴の1つは外資導入，なかでも技術導入の盛行であった。たとえば 1955年から 69年の 15年間に1万 2272件，金額で 21億ドルの技術導入が行われた。契約は外国為替及び外国貿易法 (外為法) の規制を受ける (→技術導入契約 ) 。近年では，日本が技術大国となったため，日本企業が外国企業に対して技術を提供することも多くなっている。
