Self-interest rights are the rights of shareholders to receive economic benefits from the company, centering on the right to claim dividends and distribution of residual assets, as well as rights to claim interest dividends and the right to claim stock purchases. Common-interest rights are the rights of shareholders to participate in the management and operation of the company, centering on voting rights at general shareholders' meetings, as well as various supervisory and corrective rights. Voting rights form the basis of a company's regular management system, determining the company's will on fundamental matters by majority vote at the general shareholders' meeting and appointing directors and auditors to manage and audit the company.
