Death by electric shock. A type of shock death caused by electricity. It is rare for a person to die from 100V household voltage, and it is said that 500V DC and 300V AC or higher are dangerous, but the strength of the current has a greater impact than the voltage, with 50 to 60Hz being said to be the most dangerous. The danger is high if the heart or brain is in the path of the electricity, and death is often caused by cardiac or central nervous system dysfunction. Lightning has a high voltage, and the cause of death from lightning is said to be suffocation due to paralysis of the respiratory center.
