Japanese: 観世清孝 - かんぜ きよたか
Kanze Kiyotaka
1837-1888 A Noh actor from the late Edo to Meiji periods.
Born in Tempo 8. Son of Kanze Kiyonaga. Became the 22nd head of the family in Kaei 5. Moved to Shizuoka with Tokugawa Yoshinobu at the time of the Meiji Restoration, but returned to Tokyo in 1874. Also known as a researcher of Noh traditions. Died on February 11, 1888. Age 52. Born in Edo. Commonly known as Sanjuro.

天保(てんぽう)8年生まれ。観世清長の子。嘉永(かえい)5年宗家22代をつぐ。明治維新のとき徳川慶喜にしたがい静岡に移住したが,明治7年帰京。能の故実の研究家としても知られた。明治21年2月11日死去。52歳。江戸出身。通称は三十郎。
