After the war, the company developed as a textile trading company, and was called one of the Kansai Gomen along with Itochu and others. In 1955, the company merged with Takashimaya Iida Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Marubeni Iida Co., Ltd. In 1966, the company merged with Higashitsu Co., Ltd., a Japanese steel pipe trading company, and changed its name to the current one in 1972. …
