The abbreviation for the Japan Council of Public Sector Workers' Unions. A liaison and consultation body for public sector work unions organized by national and local government employees. It was formed on December 5 , 1949 , and dissolved in August 1958. Since then, it has been used as a general term for public sector work unions, in contrast to private sector work unions. 〘名〙 日本官公庁労働組合協議会の略称。国家公務員、地方公務員などによって組織されていた官公庁労働組合の連絡協議体。昭和二四年(一九四九)一二月五日に結成され、同三三年八月に解散した。それ以後は民間の労働組合に対して官公庁の労働組合の総称としていわれる。
