Japanese: 寛永鎖国令 - かんえいさこくれい
Kan'ei National Isolation Order

The Edo Shogunate issued a policy of isolationism during the Kan'ei era. It began in 1633 (Kan'ei 10) and was completed in 1639 with the ban on Portuguese ships arriving in Japan.
