Born on August 23, 1915. Joined Tokyo Shochiku Musical Drama Club (later SKD) in 1931. Specializing in Japanese dance, he became a popular star playing male roles. After the war, he continued to play an active role as a senior SKD executive, and gained popularity in revues. He retired in 1965. During this time, he also appeared in films such as "Onna Sanshiro."
