This is the common name for Kita-in Temple (mountain name: Hoshino-san), a temple of the Tendai sect located in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. It is said to have been founded by Ennin in 830. The guest hall, shoin study, and kuri (all important cultural properties) were relocated from the Tokugawa family's annex on Momijiyama in Edo Castle after the buildings, except for the mountain gate, were destroyed in the Great Kawagoe Fire during the Kan'ei era.
