Chalcedonian Church - Chalcedonian Church

Chalcedonian Church - Chalcedonian Church

…In 410, just before the writing of this book, Rome was invaded by the Visigoths and fell into chaos, but the Church did not disappear and continued to prepare for the next era. [Tatsuya Moriyasu] [Harunori Izumi]
[Eastern Orthodox Church and Eastern Churches]
The term "Eastern Orthodox Church" is a general term for the Eastern Chalcedonian churches after the final separation of the Eastern and Western churches in 1054, namely the Byzantine Church under the Patriarchate of Constantinople and some other churches (in the Balkans and Russia), the Georgian Church, and the Chalcedonian churches in Egypt, Syria, and Palestine under the Islamic Caliphate, and currently includes churches established in Europe, the Americas, and Asia as a result of the expansion of the various churches mentioned above. Therefore, the Chalcedonian churches were more or less united before 1054, and it is inappropriate and misleading to refer to the eastern churches as the Eastern Orthodox Church.
