…The modern species of great white sharks live in the warm oceans of the world and can reach a total length of about 8 meters. There is only one living species in the genus Carcharodon, but several species, including Carcharodon sulcidens and Carcharodon angustidens , are known to have lived in the Miocene and Pliocene fossils. In addition to the great white shark, the shark teeth that have been dedicated to shrines and temples as "Tengu claws" include teeth from the Mako, Tiger shark, Shark shark, and Lamium shark.
