"Kariboshikiriuta" - "Kariboshikiriuta"

...The "Sawauchi Ushioi Uta" ("Even though it's a rural area, the southern country is yo, the east and west are saa hae, the golden mountains are kora san sae, ha rayopapaapapa") is a popular song that crosses the Ou Mountains along the Kazuno Highway and the Senboku Highway. It is a very sophisticated song with a calm and elegant tone, with the same mournful melody as the "Kaliboshikiri Uta" from Hyuga (Miyazaki Prefecture). It was sung by the cowherds who transported rice and charcoal from inland and salt and seafood from the coast, but they would leisurely cross the mountains and hills, camping out on the road for two or three nights.

…一般には奥羽山脈を横断する鹿角（かづの）街道および仙北街道の《沢内（さわうち）牛追唄》(田舎なれどもサアーハエー南部の国はヨー　西も東もサアーハエー金（かね）の山コーラサンサエー　ハーラヨーパアパアパッパー)がよく歌われている。日向(宮崎県)の《刈干切（かりぼしきり）唄》と同旋律の哀音嫋嫋（じようじよう）たる中に落着きと品位のある非常に洗練された歌である。内陸から米，炭などを運び，海岸から塩や海産物を運ぶ牛方によって歌われたものだが，牛方は2晩も3晩も道中に野宿しながら悠々と山坂を越えて行ったものだという。…
