Kamanja - Kamanja

...It has three strings and a thin wooden surface, and is similar to the modern Greek lyre and the Bulgarian gusla. In Arab countries, the Iranian kamanchh or a variation of it is called kamaanja (or kamanja, kamanja) in Arabic accent. In recent years, violins and violas introduced from Europe are sometimes called kamaanja.
