〘Noun〙 (also "kazura obi")① = Katsuramaki (Katsura-maki)② In Noh, a long sash tied over the forehead and tied behind the wig, hanging down. Later, it was also used in Bunraku puppet theater and Kabuki. Katsurahachimaki (headband for wigs) . ※Sarugaku-dangi (1430) Noh coloring "The wide kazura obi is unsightly, so people wear red sashes, which is the common custom."

〘名〙 (「かづらおび」とも)① =かつらまき(桂巻)② 能楽で、額の上でしめて鬘の上から後ろで結び、長く垂らしておく帯。のち、人形浄瑠璃、歌舞伎などでも用いた。かつらはちまき。※申楽談儀(1430)能の色どり「かづらをびの広きだに見苦しきに、赤き帯などする、返す返す俗(しょく)也」
