...In March 1811 (Bunka 8), Bando Mitsugoro III performed the play for the first time at the Edo Ichimuraza Theatre as one of the Shichihenge Shosagoto (Seven Pictures of Flowers in a Row). The lyrics were written by Sakurada Jisuke II and Katsutawazo I (later Tsuruya Nanboku IV). The music was composed by Kishizawa Koshikibu III. From [Tsuruya Nanboku]...In November 1877, he began working at the Nakamura-za, where the first Sakurada Jisuke was the lead playwright, under the name Sakurada Hyozo, but in November 1879, he lost his name. In May 1880, he changed his name to Sawa Hyozo at the Ichimura-za, and disappeared for about six months from August 1881 (Tenmei 1), but in April 1882, he returned to work at the Morita-za under the name Katsutawazo.
