A town in the Kawazu River basin in the eastern part of the Izu Peninsula, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture. Blessed with hot springs at Imaihama, Kawazuhama, Yatsu, Mine, and Yugano, and with beautiful scenery, it is collectively known as the Kawazu Onsenkyo hot spring resort. The Izu Kyuko line runs through the town. Flowers (persimmons), mandarin oranges, wasabi, and shiitake mushrooms are cultivated using the heat from the hot springs. Area: 100.69 km2 . 静岡県賀茂郡，伊豆半島東部の河津川の流域を占める町。今井浜，河津浜，谷津(やつ)，峰，湯ヶ野の温泉群に恵まれ，風光もよく，河津温泉郷と総称される。伊豆急行が通じる。温泉熱利用による花卉(かき)，ミカン，ワサビ，シイタケの栽培が盛ん。100.69km2。7998人（2010）。
