Crossing Mount Gasan

...Their efforts created the foundation for the nationwide development of the Soto sect. When Gasan lived in Eiko-ji, he frequently traveled between the temple and Soji-ji, and the route he took was later called "Gasan-goe." In his later years, he retired and founded Yoju-in temple.
