…It is a type of pickled vegetable and is closely related to turnips, but the roots do not swell like turnips. It is also called Fuyuna (winter vegetable), Uguisuna, and Kasaina (Kasai vegetable). The name Komatsuna comes from the fact that it developed around the Komatsu River in Tokyo.
