...The theoretical nitrogen content is 14.14%, but in reality, those with a nitrogen content of around 13% are called strong nitroglycerin and used in smokeless powder, and those with a nitrogen content of around 12% are called weak nitroglycerin and used in dynamite. Nitroglycerin (dinitrate ester of ethylene glycol, abbreviated NG) is a well-known compound explosive, and is used as a raw material for dynamite and double-base smokeless powder (consisting of two components, NC and NG). Nitroglycol (dinitrate ester of ethylene glycol, abbreviated Ng) is an explosive with similar properties to NG, and is mixed with it as an antifreeze for NG.

...All of these are highly heat-resistant explosive compounds. The above are compound explosives made of a single compound, but there are also mixed explosives that have the desired properties due to the mixture. A typical military mixed explosive is Composition B (Comp B).
