Spring Garden Pleasure - Shundairaku

Japanese: 春庭楽 - しゅんでいらく

The name of a dual key piece of gagaku music. When performed with an orchestra, the title Shuntei-raku is used, and when performing Bugaku, the dance is performed once (one chapter), the title Shuntei-raku is used, and when performing the dance twice (two chapters), the title Shuntei-hana is used. In Bugaku, there are four dancers, dressed in Ban-e costumes, wearing crowns with flowers in their heads attached to their sashes, and carrying swords. Shundai-raku. 雅楽の双調の曲の名。管弦で演奏される時は春庭楽の曲名を用い、舞楽で、一回（一帖）だけ舞う時には春庭楽、二回（二帖）舞う時には春庭花の曲名を用いる。舞楽の際の舞人は四人、蛮絵の装束を着け、巻纓に挿頭花(かざし)を付けた冠を戴き太刀を佩いて舞う。しゅんだいらく。〔二十巻本和名抄（934頃）〕
