Hanging tag - Kakefuda

...It is a method of communicating rules and laws, and also the name of the laws issued in this way. The name originates from the Chinese method of communicating laws and regulations by writing them on walls, but in Japan, they were written on boards or paper and hung on walls or gates, so they are also called zhangwen or kagefuda. These wall inscriptions were originally used to inform the relevant parties of internal rules of government offices, temples, etc.
