Revolutionary base - Kakumeikonkyouchi

...A base for preserving and developing one's own forces, eliminating and expelling the enemy, and accomplishing one's strategic mission in guerrilla warfare. Based on Mao Zedong's revolutionary strategic ideas, it was built in the provincial border rural areas after the establishment of the Akii Okayama revolutionary base in 1927. Mao Zedong cited the existence of new and old warlords and constant civil wars in China as the conditions for such a base being possible because of its semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, but by taking advantage of this inherent contradiction, the revolutionary forces used the base to preserve and develop themselves, and used the rural revolutionary base to surround the cities after a long war. ...
