Kakukon - Kakukon

...They speak the Kyrgyz language, call themselves Kyrgyz, and are mostly Sunni Muslims. They are thought to have originated from a tribe that lived in the Minusinsk region in the upper reaches of the Yenisei River and was already known as the Kenkun or Hakun during the Han Dynasty in China. In this region, they not only practiced hunting and livestock in the forests and grasslands, but also small-scale irrigation agriculture, and metallurgy and handicrafts that utilized mineral resources, as exemplified by the Minusinsk metallurgical culture (Tashtyk culture).
