〘名〙① 令制で歌人、歌女、笛吹らを宮廷儀式で使用するために、課役を免除して品部(しなべ)としたもの。※続日本紀‐天平三年（731）七月乙亥「但度羅楽、諸県、筑紫舞生並取_二楽戸_一」② 中国で、歌舞音楽で宮廷に仕えた官妓をいう。はじめは罪人の妻女をあてることが多かった。また、広く楽を奏する役のこと。※幸若・敦盛（明暦版）（室町末‐近世初）「月なみのくゎげんの有しとき、あつもりはふえのやく、おなじがくこにてことひき給ひし御すがたを」〔魏書‐刑罰志・七〕
