Widia

This was the first cemented carbide invented by K. Schröter and others in Germany in 1923, and sold by Krupp in Germany in 1925. It is made by adding 5-15% cobalt to tungsten carbide and sintering it. It is extremely hard and is used in cutting tools. Currently, it has been improved through repeated improvements, and both the manufacturing method and properties have been greatly improved.
