〘Noun〙① A type of anemia. It occurs in girls around the time of puberty, causing the skin and mucous membranes to turn pale and difficulty in swallowing food, headaches, dizziness, etc. ※Fushi Kenken Ikun (1842) vol. 21 "Yellowing disease ( abbreviated ): symptoms are dry skin and grayish face and lips"② A plant disease caused by a type of nematode that parasitizes the roots of soybeans and adzuki beans. The leaves turn pale yellow and no fruit is produced.
