...In Akita Prefecture it is called jajabokko, in Nara Prefecture it is called okatasagoto, and both okatamjaja are dialects for housewives. Kubarigoto (Hida region), owazakko (Yamanashi Prefecture), and okonba (Shizuoka Prefecture) mean gifts and visits, Ofurumiyako (Aomori Prefecture) means an imitation of a banquet, and omichago (Chiba Prefecture) means mizuyagoto (kitchen). During the annual festivals of March and Bon, there is a custom in various places of young girls cooking food outdoors and eating it together, called bon-gama, kadomama, tsujimama, and kawara-meshi....
