Karasu [town] - Crow
A former town in Ichishi District, central Mie Prefecture. Located almost in the center of the Ise Plain, on the delta of the Kumozu River, it is home to seaweed farming, as well as the cultivation of pears, mandarin oranges, and strawberries. Karasu-ura is a scenic spot and a swimming beach. In January 2006, it was incorporated into Tsu City along with Hisai City, Aki District's Kawage Town, Geino Town, Ano Town, Misato Village, Ichishi District's Ichishi Town, Hakusan Town, and Misugi Village. 3.90 km2 . 5,407 people (2003).
