...Three species are found in the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Borneo: Hemigalus derbyanus (body length 41-51cm, tail length 25-39cm), H. hosei (body length 60cm, tail length about 30cm. English names for the above two species are banded palm civet) on Mount Kinabalu in Borneo, and Chrotogale owstoni (body length 50-64cm, tail length 38-49cm. English name is Owston's palm civet) in Laos and northern Vietnam. However, Hemigalus derbyanus lacks the horizontal stripes on its back.
