Oshundenbei - Oshundenbei

The names of male and female characters who appear in Joruri and Kabuki. The date and details of this real case of love suicide are unknown, but it is said to have been featured in old Joruri and Saimon during the Kyoho era (1716-1736). Dramatized works form a lineage called "Oshun Denbeimono," with the "Horikawa no Dan" from the Joruri "Recently, Kawara no Tatehiki" being particularly famous. Kabuki plays include the dance drama "Migawari Oshun" and "Kachizumo Ukina no Hanabure" written by Tsuruya Nanboku IV.

浄瑠璃(じょうるり)、歌舞伎(かぶき)に登場する男女の人物名。実在した情死事件の年代や詳細は不明だが、享保(きょうほう)（1716～36）のころ古浄瑠璃、祭文(さいもん)に扱われているという。劇化作品は「お俊伝兵衛物」という一系統をなしているが、浄瑠璃『近頃(ちかごろ)河原(かわら)の達引(たてひき)』の「堀川の段」はとくに有名。歌舞伎には舞踊劇『身替りお俊』、4世鶴屋南北作の『勝相撲浮名花触(かちずもううきなのはなぶれ)』などがある。
