...This is a 125cm high square stone stupa, which was made to pray for the souls of the victims of the Uesugi Zenshu Rebellion in 1416 (Oei 23) to be reborn in the Pure Land. One of the sub-temples, Chosho-in, commonly known as Oguri-do, is the site of the legend of Oguri Hangan, famous for his sekkyo-bushi sekkyo-bushi, and contains the graves of Oguri Hangan and Terutehime.
