Oku-Yabakei

...Representative scenic spots include the Hitome Hakkei and Tachihada. The upper reaches of Morizane Onsen in the back of Hon-Yabakei are called Oku-Yabakei, and are home to scenic spots such as Sarutobi no Oketsugun (Heaven), but due to poor access, development has not progressed. In addition, in areas covered with hard lava layers made of pyroxene andesite, numerous mesas and buttes can be seen, more than anywhere else in Japan, and the mesa Daigansenyama (691m) and the butte Takanosuyama (979m) are both designated as natural monuments.
