Year of death: 1612 (Keicho 17) Year of birth: 1557 A warlord in the Sengoku period and a feudal lord in the early Edo period. His father was Yuzaemon-no-jo Nagatsuna, a retainer of the Amago clan, and his mother was the daughter of Tago Tatsunori. He was originally called Masanori and commonly known as Shinjuro. He was known as Musashi no Kami. After the downfall of the Amago clan, he wandered from country to country, and in 1573 he came to live in Inaba Province, where he fought in various places following his former retainer Yamanaka Shikansuke Yukimori, who was trying to restore the Amago clan. In 1574 he married Yukimori's adopted daughter, and inherited the family name of Kamei Hidetsuna, another former retainer of the Amago clan and Yukimori's father-in-law. He later served with Yukimori under Oda Nobunaga, and when Yukimori died he led his subordinates under Hashiba (Toyotomi) Hideyoshi. In the same year, he entered Inaba Province and holed up in Shikano Castle (Shikano Town, Keta District, Tottori Prefecture) fighting against the Mori forces, contributing to Hideyoshi's capture of Tottori (Hisamatsuyama) Castle, and was awarded 13,800 koku in Keta District of the province and became the lord of Shikano Castle. He later participated in the Kyushu Expedition and the Korean Expedition, received a red seal from Hideyoshi for the conquest of Ryukyu, and was called Ryukyu no Kami. In the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, he sided with Tokugawa Ieyasu, and was assigned Takakusa District of the province by Ieyasu, giving him a total of 38,000 koku. He worked on the reclamation of Nikko Pond in Keta District and Koyama Pond in Takakusa District, and built the Oide Irrigation Canal, which stretches 22 km on the left bank of the Chiyo River. He cultivated southern varieties of rice, and endeavored to promote industry by planting mulberry and paper mulberry trees, and from the Bunroku era (1592-96) he managed a silver mine in Hino County, Hoki Province. He also dispatched trading ships to Saiyo (around Macau) and Siam (Thailand) three times from 1607. 没年:慶長17(1612) 生年:弘治3(1557) 戦国時代の武将,江戸時代初期の大名。父は尼子氏家臣湯左衛門尉永綱,母は多胡辰敬の娘という。はじめ真矩,通称新十郎。武蔵守。尼子氏の滅亡後諸国を流浪し,天正1(1573)年因幡国に来住,尼子氏再興を図る旧臣山中鹿介幸盛に従って各地に転戦。同2年,幸盛の養女を妻に迎え,同じく尼子氏の旧臣で幸盛の外舅に当たる亀井秀綱の家号を継ぐ。のち幸盛と共に織田信長に属し,幸盛が死去するとその部下を率いて羽柴(豊臣)秀吉に属した。同8年因幡国に入り,鹿野城(鳥取県気高郡鹿野町)にこもって毛利軍と戦い,秀吉の鳥取(久松山)城攻略に貢献,同国気多郡に1万3800石を与えられ鹿野城主となる。その後,九州征討,朝鮮出兵にも従軍,秀吉から琉球征服の朱印を得,琉球守と称した。慶長5(1600)年の関ケ原の戦では徳川家康方に属し,家康より同国高草郡をあてがわれ,計3万8000石を領した。気多郡日光池や高草郡湖山池の干拓を手掛け,千代川左岸に延長22kmにもおよぶ大井手用水を設ける。南方種の稲を栽培させ,桑・楮の植樹に努めるなど産業の振興を図るとともに,文禄年間(1592~96)から伯耆国日野郡の銀山を経営した。また慶長12(1607)年から3度にわたってサイヨウ(マカオ周辺),シャム(タイ)に貿易船を派遣。家康とシャム国王の仲介にも努めている。<参考文献>『鳥取県史』2巻 (井上寛司) 出典 朝日日本歴史人物事典:(株)朝日新聞出版朝日日本歴史人物事典について 情報 |
