He participated in the council to expel the Shogun Prince Munetaka in 1276, and during the Koan era (1278-1288), he was at the heart of the Shogunate, having been in Mutsu no Kami, which was occupied by the Hojo clan. Due to slander by his rival, the Inner Kanrei Taira no Yoritsuna, he was wiped out along with his entire clan in the Shimotsuki Incident in 1289 (Shimotsuki Incident). Fujiwara no Shigenori's younger brother, Sohan, who shared the same fate as Yasumori, is also considered to have been Yasumori's academic teacher. The Shimotsuki Incident solidified the autocratic system of the regent. <References> Taga Sojun, "Akita Castle Suke Adachi Yasumori" ("Essays on the Cultural History of the World" Vol. 1) (Kinji Fukushima) Source: Asahi Japanese Historical Biography: Asahi Shimbun Publications Inc.
